With minimalist set design, Karl Lagerfeld presented the latest collection of high fashion for spring / summer 2016 on January 26th, 2016 at the Grand Palais in Paris.
“Gabrielle Chanel was the Queen of beige”, explains Karl Lagerfeld, who proposes a large palette of beiges: ecru, ivory, sand, dove, putty, taupe and mocha.
Karl Lagerfeld defines it as, “Haute Couture is the extreme luxury. It is perfection with a unique personality. It has to do with patience and with modern and current times. Haute Couture is a maximum symbol of artisan’s refinement and beauty. This is the beauty and the magic of it”
This collection is characterized by oval sleeves and long pencil skirts, short tweed jackets and flared dresses, fitted tops and light capes, and presents a range of different designs with inverted volumes.
